At approximately 19:15 Pacific Standard Time, 30/October/2009, CG-1705, a Coast Guard C-130 with a crew of 7, collided with a Marine Corps AH1-W Cobra helicopter, with a crew of 2 marines, during a search and rescue case for a missing pleasure craft. The helicopter was performing a training exercise at the time.

There were no survivors.


I just simply ask you all to keep the family and loved ones of the 9 Servicemen in your thoughts.

We don't have anything like that here in Virginia. Some mountains out west here, but wow!...you have glaciers, and just absolutely gorgeous landscapes!

Ah, my room mate is from Virginia, and my brother lived there for a few years, but I have never been there myself. I bet there's plenty of good stuff to shoot out there.
